Joann R. Smith

Ms. Smith has over 20 plus years of management experience in health care., She is also a community liaison having formed partnerships with such organizations as: Share Your Heart, Job Corp of Miami, Baptist Health of South Florida, People Acting for Community Together (P.A.C.T.), Orange Bowl Health Fair, UHI Community Health Clinic, American Heart Association, 1199 SEIU, just to name a few.
Ms. Smith saw the need and vision for an establishment that would serve the needs for single mothers and their families. So, in 2009 Parenting With A Purpose Life Center, Inc was formed. Her passion is to provide educational training, resources and support to each client.

As a mother of 6 and once a PWAPLC client, Lashanda is the perfect example of reach one teach one.

She has turned her trials into tributes, as she goes above and beyond to impart information, provide resources, and support services to families in our community. She is certified as a Breast-Feeding Peer Counselor, Birth and Labor Doula, and Childbirth Educator.
Marjorie Pierre
Care Counselor
Ms. Pierre began working at Parenting With a Purpose Life Center, Inc. (PWAPLC) as a volunteer in 2009. The experience she gained while serving the women at the program, as a volunteer, lead to a permanent position a year later.
She serves as a Care Counselor, Administrative Assistant, and the Secretary on the Board of Directors. Ms. Pierre enjoy the One-on-one sessions with her clients where she passionately displays love and wisdom to them and to all whom she encounters in her role at Parenting With a Purpose Life Center, Inc.
